This site aims to attract members in exactly your position, looking to buy, but potentially leave a property empty for months (years?) on end. But they also need to keep a holding in the UK housing market and be able to come home to visit family or holiday. Co-homebuying makes financial sense. You share with someone who cares about the property as much as you do. So who stays and when? This would be agreed in your co-ownership agreement. It can be fixed months or move annually so both parties get a bite of the British summer. Where do I store my things? You can have shared items but keep personal objects in your locked bedroom or store. Remember, your co-buyer is in the same position as you, they want to come home but want to retire overseas! Members of this site are in various categories and there is one especially for 'Retire Overseas'. Once you join you can send a 'contact request' to other members. They will read your profile and if they think there is a way of working together they will accept the request. You can then message each other within the system.
